On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, for our second meetup, we met virtually in Hubs.
Hubs is a platform built and maintained by Mozilla that lets us create (and even customize) VR rooms where people can meet, watch videos, draw, import 3D models, etc. It is completely free and very 2D friendly: No VR equipment is needed and one can still have a great experience using a regular browser on a personal computer.
We discussed a couple of topics, that night:
- OC6, the yearly Oculus conference, had just concluded and a lot of important announcements were made.
- we watched Chris Milk’s 2015 TED talk, How virtual reality can create the ultimate empathy machine
- we also discussed a couple of meetup-related items
